A little-known binary system, occasionally used as a waypoint by travellers passing to and from Aegis. After narrowly avoiding becoming a flashpoint when the Lighthouse visited in August 2499, the status of the system was settled by the signing of the Mikoan Accord.
Stellar Bodies
- Mikoa A – an orange K-class star with at least 5 planets, none of which are habitable
- Mikoa Three (A3) – hosts a domed Nariac colony, established in 2498
- M3 Orbital Production Facility – fabricates components using resources from Mikoa Five
- Mikoa Five (A5) – an inhospitable but mineral-rich planet, settled by independents, boasting several orbital refinery platforms
- Mikoa Three (A3) – hosts a domed Nariac colony, established in 2498
- Mikoa B – a distant M-class dwarf with 7 planets, though none are Class 1
- B1 – a burning rock of a world
- B2-B3 – terrestrial planets
- B4-B7 – gas giants
- AB1 – a frigid rock that precariously orbits the stellar pair at a great distance
The Mikoan Accord
A treaty signed in 2499 by all thirteen stellar nations, the Regency of Bluefall, the independents of Mikoa Five, and the colonists of B1. It largely splits the system in half, with Mikoa A going to the Nariac Domain and Mikoa B going to the Orion League. However, a number of concessions and exemptions were made in order to reach agreement:
- Mikoa Five (A5) remains independent
- Mikoa B1 is guaranteed self-determination within the Orion League
- VoidCorp is granted perpetual mining rights to the four gas giants of Mikoa B
- The Thuldan Empire is given ownership of AB1
- The Hatire Community is permitted to erect a temple in the main settlement on each world
