Geronimo

Geronimo-Class Trader

First manufactured in 2194 by OGAM Incorporated, the archaic Geronimo can still be seen plying the trade lanes of Old Space and the Verge. Even when this ship first rolled off the production line, it was considered slightly behind the times. OGAM decided to use tried and true fusion technology, incorporated with some of the relatively new gravity tech of the day. A great many of these ships saw action as blockade-runners and privateers during GW1.

The original cost of a Geronimo was over $2,000,000 Solars. After the end of GW2, a used stock Geronimo could be bought for as little as ยข800,000 of the newly-minted Concordian currency. Assuming you could actually find a stock model for sale. OGAM Incorporated had stopped making the Geronimo a century earlier in 2368, after a production run of over 170 years, retooling their assembly lines to produce ships better suited to war.

Over the centuries, most of these ships have been heavily modified by their owners. Even in the Verge, many have been retrofitted with mass reactors and induction engines, as the planetary thruster is considered a crass form of landing in most spaceports. Still, with a relatively spacious cargo hold, many captains decide that the quirkiness of the craft is worth the regular maintenance such an old vessel requires.
