More than 3000 islands dot its surface, accounting for only a few percent of the total area. Only 21 are large enough to support significant settlements. Six of these are claimed by the Regency, two each by the Galactic Concord, the Orion League, and the Thuldan Empire, while the other stellar nations hold one apiece.

Hughes Island (R19)
780km long; the largest open-access Regency island; 600km NE of Regency itself
Bluefall’s economic and diplomatic centre. A popular vacation destination with its green parks, long beaches, and an active volcano. Holo-boards advertise Submarine Park resort and Volcano Mountain theme park.
- North Beach – 100km long; sailing, surfing (traditional & grav-assisted), and diving (despite the presence of Moore’s sharks)

Regency Island, aka Tribane Island (U18)
The largest of Bluefall’s islands. Created a a trio of now dormant shield volcanoes 2.5, 4.3, and 6.7km tall. Political and military centre. Restricted access.

Berilar (F8) Nariac Domain
Newland City is one of Bluefall’s largest science and technical outposts, and one of the few places in the Verge that can handle cybertech installation and repair.
Cesar (Q12) Borealis Republic
The university city of New Cambar looks set to become one of the preeminent centres of liberal arts education outside of the Stellar Ring.
Diandes (L15) Galactic Concord
The largest island in the Diandes Archipelago. Currently a chaotic hodgepodge of temporary dwellings, the Concord are rapidly developing this island.
Filtrane (I4) Thuldan Empire
Bluefall’s second-largest island is the base of Thuldan power in the sector. Following standard practice, the Empire eradicated all native flora and fauna on the island, replacing it with genetically engineered stock of Terran heritage.
Haven 6 (S11) Insight
The Inseers have renamed this island 17 times since founding the city of Seradam, leading everyone else to refer to it by its original (post-Vanishing) designation.
Jort (Q3) Orlamu Theocracy
Port Cathedral dominates the western half of this isle, its temples attracting tourists and devout in equal numbers. Home to the majority of Bluefall’s weren population, but also the highest concentration of fraal.
Kamina (O15) StarMech
The second-largest island in the Diandes Archipelago. Home to seven small shipyards.
Khalan (L12) Orion League
Sister to Saber, the Orion’s second island hosts lavish estates for the League’s business leaders and diplomats.

Ober Island (E14.5) Austrin-Ontis Unlimited
Aside from a few isolated homesteads and private estates, recently-founded Stahn is the only settlement.
Polynesia (P8.5) Union of Sol
A hodgepodge of 18th-century Polynesian and British sailing cultures. Large numbers of Solar immigrants spurred the founding of three major settlements – Otaheite, Taparua, and Pitcairn – as well as multiple homesteads and individual holdings strewn across the island.
Rehja (I17.5) T’sa Guardian Clutch
Bluefall’s 24th-largest island was recently allocated to the Guardian Clutch. The dense tree coverage (by local standards) suits the t’sa nicely. The only area marked for clearance is where the planned settlement of Guardshope will stand. The industrious newcomers are rapidly erecting temporary shelters – from crude wooden huts to repurposed escape pods and other salvaged wreckage.
Ruhlesport (W9) Rigunmor Star Consortium
Located near the southern icecap, the bustling entrepôt of Ruhlesport is one of the few Rigunmor footholds in the Verge.
Ryddal (M4) Hatire Community
The Hatire here lead simple and peaceful lives. Spread out among several dozen homesteads, religious outposts, and abbeys. Even the designated capital of Mearcol would only be considered a town.
Saber (K11) Orion League
The site of a fledgling megalopolis, also called Saber, which will eventually extend the length and breadth of the island. Several regions have been set aside to maintain undeveloped parklands and beaches.
The Ocean
Covering the vast majority of the planet’s surface. With all islands formed by volcanism, the coastal waters around each rapidly plunge into the depths.
Depth Epsilon
An underwater city built on the mountainous seafloor. Taking nearly 20 years to construct, it is now home to thousands of citizens, including a large number of scientists and technicians.
Depth Zeta
A submersible floating city. Construction began in 2493. While not yet complete, it is operational and partially inhabited.
